Redditch Triples

This is an inter-club triples league competition and we play against other clubs in the North Worcestershire area.  We have two teams:

  • Matches are played on a Monday evening.
  • Comprises of 12 players in 4 triples teams.
  • Each team in the league plays each other twice, once at home and once away.
  • Two points for each winning triple and 6 points for overall highest accumulated shots with a maximum of 14 points to be won.
  • To nominate yourself to play, please register with Bob via WhatsApp for the Blue Team, or by adding your name to the nomination sheet on the noticeboard in the clubhouse for the Gold Team 

Interberga Triples

An inter-club triples league competition played against other clubs within Worcestershire.  The league was originally set up by Inkberrow Bowls Club, and the name of the league is the old Anglo Saxon name for Inkberrow.

  • Played on a Tuesday evening. 
  • Team of 9 players in 3 triples, each team must contain both men and women players.
  • Each team in the league plays each other twice, once at home and once away.
  • 2 league points for each winning triple.
  • 6 league points for the overall win based on accumulative shots scored. 
  • Therefore a maximum of 12 points available in each match.
  • To nominate yourself to play, please add your name to the nomination sheet on the noticeboard in the clubhouse

Tony Styles Cup (formerly Worcester Triples)

An inter-club triples league competition played against other clubs in Worcester.

  • 6 points for a team win
  • 3 points for a team draw
  • 2 points for each winning triple

Central Stairlift Trophy

League sponsored by Central Stairlifts, and played against other Worcestershire bowling clubs.  There are no fixed dates for Stairlift matches, so please look out for emails and on the noticeboard for details.

  • Team of 18 players in 6 triples, with no discrimination of sex
  • 3 Triples play at home, and 3 play away at the same time
  • 2 points per winning triple, 1 point for a draw. 
  • Team with the most shots receive 2 extra points or 1 point each for a draw.
  • Matches should be arranged at a rate of one per month if possible.

Concorde League

Ladies League against other Worcestershire bowling clubs - matches are all listed in the fixture list, and included in the fixtures page on this website.  To nominate yourself to play in any match, please use WhatsApp.

  • All matches consist of 3 triples, 18 ends, ladies only.  Both a home and an away game shall be played.
  • 2 points for each winning triple, 1 point each for a draw
  • 6 points for an overall win, 3 points each for a draw
  • Shot difference may count at the end of the season

Friendly Matches

A number of friendly matches against other clubs (most in Worcestershire, but with a few from farther afield) are arranged each season, usually on Sundays.  Fixtures are indicated in the printed fixture list and on this website.  Formats vary from match to match and may be at home or away, triples, rinks, mixed, etc.  Match sheets are pinned on the noticeboard and members are invited to nominate themselves for matches to be selected the week before the match takes please.
